How it works
From installer to first launch in four steps

Download and install
Grab the Windows installer and run it. Cookie Launcher sets itself up without extra tooling.

Sign in or create a local profile
Sign in with the Microsoft account that owns Minecraft: Java Edition, or create a local offline profile for legitimate local testing.
- 03
Create an instance
Choose your Minecraft version, loader, memory allocation, and Java options for that instance.
- 04
Install, manage, and launch
Watch the install phases complete, add content from Modrinth, then hit Play.

Security and transparency
Clear about what we do and don't touch
Sign-in happens in your browser
Microsoft authentication runs in your system browser using Microsoft's own account chooser and the authorization-code flow with PKCE.
No passwords, ever
Cookie Launcher does not request or store Microsoft passwords. It only handles the tokens Microsoft returns after you approve sign-in.
Ownership still applies
Authenticated online play requires a valid Microsoft account that owns Minecraft: Java Edition. Local offline profiles are for legitimate local testing only.
No bypasses
Cookie Launcher does not bypass Minecraft ownership, paid access, or server authentication in any way.
